Hi Yoah,
I am still in awe of my post-EI Self! Creativity, through voice, poetry and humour, seems to be flowing effortlessly through me - uninhibited and uncensored. I’m sending them to you as a means of communicating my post-EI reflections.
Love
Ange
Here is the latest:
Naked before you - 5/2/11
I sit naked before you
Fully clothed with legs folded
Baring my all
Yet telling nothing of my past
And you - you know me well
Me in all my nakedness
You've been with me forever
Yet never known my name
But what is in that name?
For I've been known by many
That I've long since forgotten
And no longer remain
We are one, you and I
So can I tell you something new?
I am revealed through your words
And my words reveal you

The first inspiration for the Enlightenment Retreat is the ancient self enquiry yoga meditation, ‘who am I.’ This self reflective meditation was brought to modern prominence in the 20th Century by the Indian sage, Ramana Maharshi.
The second Eastern influence is the zen-like environment of mindfulness, presence and the Noble Silence of a Buddhist ‘sesshin’ or vipassana meditation retreat. The Enlightenment Retreat also borrows the Japanese meditation technique of Renzai zen called a koan. A koan is a riddle-like question that cannot be answered with the intellect. It can only be resolved through direct experiencing of reality. ‘Who am I’ is the koan or riddle-like self reflection used at an Enlightenment Retreat.
The third influence is a modern Western approach. It is based upon sound psychological principles for creating understanding through honest communication and effective listening. The technique used is called a the Enlightenment Dyad. The Enlightenment Dyad is a two person tantra-style communication process that firmly and lovingly directs your focused and relaxed concentration towards consciously knowing the Self.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner of spiritual practices, the Enlightenment Intensive Retreat rapidly accelerates conscious awakening of Self Realization.
There is no belief system, religion or philosophy that needs to be followed in order for progress to be made.
